GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Grand Forks Herald newsroom has appointed two new leaders to its management team, adding Christopher Bjorke as news and business editor and Scott Dykowski as presentation editor, according to Editor Steve Wagner.
Bjorke, a former business and political reporter, began working at the Herald in May 1997, leaving to work at other papers in May 1998. He returned to the Herald in November 2011. Bjorke grew up in Williston, N.D., and Bismarck, N.D., and graduated from the University of North Dakota and Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Dykowski is a copy editor for the Lubbock (Texas) Avalanche-Journal and will begin at the Herald Aug. 1. A graduate of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, he joined the Avalanche-Journalin 2011.
The Grand Forks Herald is owned by Forum Communications. Forum Communications is a multimedia information company based in Fargo, and owns dozens of newspapers, websites and television and radio stations, and commercial printing plants in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
