GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The first book-signing event in the region for Marilyn Hagerty’s new book is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ferguson Books & Media in the Menard’s strip mall in Grand Forks.
Hagerty’s book, “Grand Forks: A History of American Dining in 128 Reviews,” was produced in collaboration with renowned chef and TV commentator Anthony Bourdain.
Bourdain wrote the foreword and selected reviews for the book, according to Dane Ferguson, bookstore owner.
Hagerty is a longtime columnist with the Grand Forks Herald.
Also that day, a dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sander’s restaurant in Grand Forks to give area residents a chance to chat and dine with Hagerty, he said.
Tickets, $100 per person, include a dinner, with one drink and dessert, and a book that’s signed and personalized by the author. Diners can choose one of five entrée options.
For reservations, call (701) 738-8025 or go to Ferguson’s Menard’s location to purchase tickets. Space is limited.
